A city for music lovers

On the banks of the Danube, the former capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire is a splendid city with stunning architecture. Schönbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Habsburg dynasty, is popularly known as the Austrian Versailles. Also of note for their magnificent beauty are the Belvedere Palace, the Rathausplatz or City Hall Square, and St. Stephen’s Cathedral, one of the most beautiful religious buildings in Europe. If you’re visiting Vienna on holiday, we recommend you visit the Prater theme park. You should also not leave without seeing all the fruit, vegetables and colour on show at the popular Naschmarkt market. Nor without trying its most typical dessert, the sacher-torte cake!
