Start from our hotel, dwelling place of the ‘Empress Agrippina the Elder, passing the Sant Angelo Castle, before crossing the bridge to the Ara Pacis altar, dedicated to the Roman Goddess of Peace and the Mausoleum of Augustus, Agrippina’s final resting place.

Temple of Claudius caves

Janiculum Hill

Immerse yourself in Roman history: from the emblematic Acqua Paola fountain (referred to locally as "Il Fontanone") to the stunning Botanical Gardens. Created in 1660 by Alexander VII, this is part of the Ager Vaticanus archaeological site, that the Villa Agrippina is built on. Round off the trip by checking out the Villa Farnesina museum, home to some of Raphael’s masterpieces.
