Its weather and beaches are the envy of all Europe. Bathed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Cantabrian and Mediterranean Seas, the cultural, architectural, culinary, artistic and scenic heritage of this southern European country is simply spectacular.

A country full of extraordinary landscapes and history

Let’s start with Madrid, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain, and its magnificent museums, delicious tapas and lively streets. In Barcelona you must not miss a tour of the modernist buildings designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí, the father of the Sagrada Familia. In Granada you have the Alhambra, the fortress palace of the ancient Nasrid kingdom. And just as impressive are the Roman aqueduct in Segovia, the Mosque in Cordoba or the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. With more modern architecture, but just as surprising, are the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao or the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. Among the most stunning scenic areas in Spain are Albarracín in Teruel, the Costa da Morte in Galicia, the Picos de Europa mountains or the Altamira caves in Cantabria. The country is a peninsula with beautiful beaches on all sides and two wonderful island archipelagos, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.

Valuta
The currency used is the euro. You can withdraw cash from ATMs with a credit card or exchange currency in banks.
Taal
The most widely spoken official language is Spanish. The country also has minority official languages such as Catalan, Galician or Basque.
Internet
Most cities and tourist destinations have free Wi-Fi Internet access areas.

The climate is mostly Mediterranean, with hot and sunny summers and mild winters.
